Two ways to run PrintKit
PrintKit comes in two editions. The builders, the print files and the work tickets are the same in both — what differs is how PrintKit gets onto your site and how orders reach you. Throughout this help center, anything that only applies to one edition is tagged.
Shopify app
The PrintKit Shopify app — listed on the Shopify App Store as PrintKit by Big Chato's. You install it from the App Store, drop a builder onto a product page from the theme editor, and shoppers check out through your own Shopify checkout. Your subscription is billed by Shopify.
Any website
PrintKit on any other platform — WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Webflow, plain HTML. You sign up at app.printkit.tech, paste a one-line embed, and finished designs land in your PrintKit portal as quotes with the print file attached. You quote, collect payment your own way, and produce.
New to PrintKit? Start with the Getting started guide — it has a separate path for each edition and takes you from install to your first shop-floor work ticket in one sitting.

| Single stickers | Both editions A third way to sell stickers: a stack of one design, priced by size × quantity, alongside packed sheets and rolls. | Sticker guide |
| Order-mode lock | Both editions Put sheets and rolls on one page and single stickers on another, from the same account. Turning one on never turns the other off. | Sticker guide |
| Size reference view | Both editions Shoppers can preview a single sticker against a laptop, a notebook or a credit card, at true relative scale. | Sticker guide |
| Per-garment color sets | Both editions Give a specific garment its own palette when it comes in colors your other garments don't. | Apparel guide |
| Color names on every swatch | Both editions The selected color's name is spelled out next to the label, and every swatch carries its name for hover and screen readers. | Apparel guide |
| Placement before upload | Both editions On phones, shoppers choose where the art goes before they upload it. | Apparel guide |
| One-click background removal | Both editions Cut your product out of its background when you upload a garment or substrate photo, with a before/after preview and your original kept. Shoppers get their own one-tap version on uploaded art, where you enable it. | Apparel guide |
| Per-zone print area (chest / pocket / back) | Both editions Position each print zone independently on your own garment photos. | Apparel guide |
| One photo → every colour | Shopify app Upload one white shirt photo and get every colorway generated, with an approval grid before anything goes live. Not in the any-website portal yet. | Apparel guide |
| Referral program | Both editions Refer a shop, get a $19 account credit when they subscribe. Codes and rewards stay inside the edition that issued them. | FAQ |
| Password reset & installable portal | Any website Forgot-password by email link, and the merchant portal installs to your phone or desktop as a PrintKit app. | FAQ |
